Twinings Don’t Care

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

I posted the last blog post about Twinings Tea vs Yorkshire Tea as a bit of a joke because I thought it was mildly amusing.. but Twinings haven’t replied to the complaint I sent them through their website a few days ago so I thought I might as well post up the other pictures I sent them too.

Twinings Tea vs Yorkshire Tea

It’s a bit strange, I don’t understand why someone hasn’t contacted me about it. It’s a valid complaint, in the tea bags I purchased:

  • Some of them were empty
  • Most of them didnt have the right amount of tea in them
  • Most of the bags split when I used them because they hadn’t been manufactured correctly

On their website it says “the bright refreshing blend of fine tea leaves from around the world will put a smile on your face”. I don’t really think so!

Twinings Tea v’s Yorkshire Tea

Monday, December 19th, 2011

This made me laugh.. I have just sent an email to complain about the Twinings tea bags that I’ve been using for the past few weeks.

Most of them have split due to a strange bit of tea that’s trapped in the side part and a few of the tea bags have been empty or nearly empty.

For the time being I’m going to be using Yorkshire tea!

Best Google Doodle Ever!

Just went to Google and found the best Google doodle ever! It’s quite clever how it takes the date from your Google profile.

Big Weekend Coming Up!

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

This year seems to be flying by so far! That means one thing.. summer is on the way AND the weekend we’ve been looking forward to for months is nearly here!

vitalic and fc kahuna in nottingham

On friday night we have got FC Kahuna playing at audiophile and then the night after me and Chris (The Chosen Ones) are playing alongside Vitalic at Gatecrasher. Should be a pretty big weekend! I’m not sure which I’m most excited about, we’ve been practicing for both so fingers crossed they should both go ok.. It will be a bit strange playing a techno set and not playing any Vitalic tunes!

Here’s a sneak peek behind the scenes of the Vitalic live show:

And here it is in full flow:

New Website and New Year!

Friday, January 1st, 2010

happy new year in 2010!

I’ve spent time off work over Christmas and New Year working on my website and I think it’s pretty much done. There are a few things here and there to change, but I’m sure there will always be a few things on the to do list!

I thought I might as well copy everyone and put some new years resolutions on my blog. At least this way in a few months I will be able to refer back to them and see how if I managed any of them. Here goes:

  • Finish my turnoffyourlights website. I’ve been working on this for aaaages! It seems to be going round in circles at the moment as I add more and more ideas.
  • Complete the new audiophile website.. there seems to be a theme running here. Did I mention I have a lot of unfinished websites sitting on my hard drive?
  • No drinking in January.. I have managed this for the last few years, think I might extend it a little though and not drink until the next audiophile – Feb 20th!
  • Try to be more productive. I have a very short attention span and tend to start lots of things before I finish what I am doing. I’m going to try to start less and finish more, not sure how yet though. Let me know if you have got any tips?! Even while I’m writing this blog post I can feel the urge to check twitter, emails and Google reader.. so far so good. Fingers crossed the no drinking may go hand in hand with this one
  • Exercise more – I did the Nottingham Marathon last year and that was a pretty good motivator. I was looking on the Great North Run website yesterday, but torn between the two for which to enter.
  • Do my tax return on time – hopefully I won’t get hit with the £100 fine.
  • Build a full website in wordpress. At the moment I have only ever used wordpress for creating blogs and integrating them into other sites. Seems like I’m making things more complicated than they need to be and it should help save time.

I think that’s about it for now.. should keep me going for a few months!
