New Website and New Year!

happy new year in 2010!

I’ve spent time off work over Christmas and New Year working on my website and I think it’s pretty much done. There are a few things here and there to change, but I’m sure there will always be a few things on the to do list!

I thought I might as well copy everyone and put some new years resolutions on my blog. At least this way in a few months I will be able to refer back to them and see how if I managed any of them. Here goes:

  • Finish my turnoffyourlights website. I’ve been working on this for aaaages! It seems to be going round in circles at the moment as I add more and more ideas.
  • Complete the new audiophile website.. there seems to be a theme running here. Did I mention I have a lot of unfinished websites sitting on my hard drive?
  • No drinking in January.. I have managed this for the last few years, think I might extend it a little though and not drink until the next audiophile – Feb 20th!
  • Try to be more productive. I have a very short attention span and tend to start lots of things before I finish what I am doing. I’m going to try to start less and finish more, not sure how yet though. Let me know if you have got any tips?! Even while I’m writing this blog post I can feel the urge to check twitter, emails and Google reader.. so far so good. Fingers crossed the no drinking may go hand in hand with this one
  • Exercise more – I did the Nottingham Marathon last year and that was a pretty good motivator. I was looking on the Great North Run website yesterday, but torn between the two for which to enter.
  • Do my tax return on time – hopefully I won’t get hit with the £100 fine.
  • Build a full website in wordpress. At the moment I have only ever used wordpress for creating blogs and integrating them into other sites. Seems like I’m making things more complicated than they need to be and it should help save time.

I think that’s about it for now.. should keep me going for a few months!
